EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a gentle yet powerful approach that combines both somatic (body-based) and cognitive (mind-based) elements to release stress and emotional blocks.

The somatic part involves tapping on specific acupressure points, which helps calm the nervous system, ease stored tension, and reduce the body’s stress response. Over time, this can “rewire” how the brain reacts to challenges, so instead of going into survival mode, you can respond from a calmer, more empowered place.

The cognitive part involves focusing on certain thoughts, memories, or emotions while using guided phrases to shift perspectives and dissolve limiting beliefs. Together, these two elements help transform emotional triggers into neutrality, or even a sense of peace, often surprisingly quickly.

Many people find that even when they know what’s holding them back, they can’t quite shift it, and this is exactly where EFT helps bridge the gap between knowing and embodying change.

It’s a tool you can use on your own or with the support of a practitioner, and it’s part of the field of Energy Psychology, a branch of complementary and alternative approaches.

I was once afraid of my own shadow. I struggled with self-trust and self-worth. I was afraid to take action, constantly second-guessing myself and living in self-doubt. The fear of rejection and abandonment held me back. I had trouble setting boundaries, often suppressing my emotions and disconnecting from who I truly was. My mind never stopped overthinking, perfectionism kept me frozen, and fear of making mistakes paralyzed me. I questioned whether I was smart enough, experienced enough, or worthy enough. I struggled with imposter syndrome, fear of failure, and owning my worth. No matter how hard I tried, I kept falling back into the same old patterns.

Therapy was a powerful first step, but for me, it wasn’t enough. True transformation requires embodiment. Emotional experiences, especially unresolved trauma, live in the body, not just the mind. Without nervous system regulation, old patterns linger no matter how much insight you gain in therapy. I’ve read the books on self-love, boundaries, healing, and trauma, and while I understood the concepts intellectually, I still struggled to apply them in real life. I froze when it came to setting boundaries or making bold choices. Self-awareness alone wasn’t enough. You can know you should act differently, but when the moment comes, it can still feel heavy, impossible even. And that leaves you feeling frustrated, stuck, and incapable of following through.

That’s where my coaching comes in. While I’m not a licensed mental health provider, I help women entrepreneurs like you identify and shift the blocks that keep you from showing up fully in your business as long as the challenges are within my scope of practice. Our work is future-focused, action-oriented, and transformational. We don’t dwell on the past, we focus on creating the results you truly desire.
